We are posting this interesting and educational opportunity to Tammany Together members and friends on behalf of the League of Women Voters of St. Tammany.

You are invited to attend the League of Women Voters of St. Tammany Legislative Day at the capitol in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.

Please send a check to secure your reservation to LWVST’s Barbara Dodds, 143 Tchefuncte Drive, Covington LA 70433, by Thursday, May 15. The cost is $20 for members of the League, $25 for non-League-members. Please make your check payable to LWVST.

Our sponsor is Sen. Jack Donahue and it is anticipated that other legislators will come to speak on their legislation.

Lunch is included in the fee. Agendas and schedules will be provided so you can attend the committees that interest you. For anyone who has not been to the capitol before, there will be a tour and brief demonstration on the computer system at the capitol. Further details will be coming closer to the date.
