PARISH PLANNING DIRECTOR TO
EXPLAIN COMPREHENSIVE REZONING OF ST. TAMMANY PARISH AT TAMMANY TOGETHER
QUARTERLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The next quarterly General Membership Meeting of Tammany Together
will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008. Parish Director of Planning Sidney
Fontenot will make a presentation on the parishs comprehensive rezoning process
at this meeting. Mr. Fontenot will discuss the new Unified Development Code,
explain how the new code differs from the zoning code presently in effect, and
how it will be applied across the parish. It is important that the citizens of
St. Tammany understand this process so that they can be prepared to participate
in this very important task. The public is invited to attend, so please plan to
attend and invite anyone who might be interested.
The meeting will be held at the North Shore Unitarian Universalist
church located at 28662 Krentel Road, just north of the intersection of I-12 and
Highway 434 in Lacombe. Doors will open at 6:00 PM, and the meeting will begin
at 6:30 PM. A map showing the location of the meeting is available at http://www.tammanytogether.org/files/NSUUC.jpg .
Active
participation in Tammany Together by members of homeowners associations is
encouraged, although only individual members and delegates of groups may cast
votes. No proxy voting is
allowed. Prospective members are encouraged to attend the meeting to
