Please see below for an announcement of upcoming workshops on proposed environmental, flood prevention and drainage projects in St. Tammany Parish. Members and friends of Tammany Together who are interested in this topic are encouraged to attend one of these meetings.

Hazard Mitigation Workshops

The St. Tammany Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and the Hazard Mitigation Plan Team will be hosting three workshops to help educate the public on proposed environmental, flood prevention and drainage projects in St. Tammany Parish.

These educational presentations will be attended by representatives of the St. Tammany Parish Engineering and Environmental Services Departments. Potential and ongoing projects will be discussed and explained, and potential impacts on the community will be covered.

The three workshops will be held on the following dates and locations:

Feb. 25, 2009, 7:00 pm in the St. Tammany Parish Council Chambers, 21490 Koop Drive, Mandeville

March 3, 2009, 6:30 pm at Boyet Jr. High School, 59295 Rebel Drive, Slidell

March 10, 2009, 6:30 pm at Fire District 3 Training Center, 29278 Hwy 190, Lacombe (corner of Hwy 190 and South Mill Rd.)
