Help shape the future of St. Tammany Parish! Click for membership information.
You've read about it on in all the papers, you've heard about it on the radio, you may have seen a report on Fox 8 News, and you are probably talking about it, but next Thursday is your chance to get to know in person what Tammany Together, Inc. is all about.
Come to the Parish Council Chambers on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 6:30 PM and learn why you, your neighborhood association, your neighbors, and your friends will want to join Tammany Together. As a matter of fact, don't come alone, bring your spouse, your neighbor, and several of your friends. That way you won't need to explain Tammany Together to them because they will hear about us with their own ears.
The rest of the text below is from our press release about the meeting.
The newly incorporated Tammany Together, Inc. is holding its first public meeting to answer questions about our organization; provide information about our mission, goals, and focus; introduce the initial Board of Directors; and provide information about how individuals, Homeowners Associations, and other organizations can become members.
The Mission of Tammany Together is to identify issues of importance to the citizens of St. Tammany, educate our members and others on these issues, and exert a positive influence on their outcome by speaking out with a unified voice.
As the President of the League of Women Voters of St. Tammany stated about Tammany Together, "It's time for ALL citizens of St. Tammany to be represented by an organization that is dedicated to making citizens equal partners with government and business in planning for the future of St. Tammany."
Residents of St. Tammany and representatives of Homeowners and Civic Associations are invited to attend this meeting and learn why their membership in Tammany Together, Inc. will help them have a stronger voice in the future of St. Tammany Parish.
People who are unable to attend are invited to go to our website at www.TammanyTogether.org to learn about our organization and how to get involved.
Rick Wilke, Interim President, Tammany Together
