The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will conduct a scoping analysis meeting to engage members of the public and other interested parties in the scoping process for developing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) addressing the proposed construction of a highway between Bush, Louisiana and I-12, in St. Tammany Parish. The EIS will be used to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, to determine the least damaging, yet practicable alternative and as a basis for the permit decision.

The meeting will be held on January 22, 2009 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Abita Springs Town Hall located at 22161 Level Street in Abita Springs, Louisiana.
